All the flowers were all from the Original flower market in downtown Los Angeles.

The bouquet was home-cured with a selection of flowers, not roses, please, said Andy.

The boutonniere was also home-cured with aromatic herbs trimmed from the garden.

The flowers for the table setting were placed very subtle in different clear glass bottles in a way that looks natural without overpowering or trying to be an arrangement.

Brown paper was used as a tablecloth for the garden tables with bamboo serving bowls and cutlery. Little brown envelopes hand-painted filled with fennel seeds were arranged over each plate.

The food: Appetizers from Gjusta. Dinner from Night + Market. Wines from Night + Market. The cake from Sweet Lady Jane

Margarita cocktails were homemade with the recipe from the book Frontera by Rice Bayless.

The surprise: a bass band that came into the garden to collect everyone spontaneously without realizing everyone was dancing in the streets of Venice, taking everyone to another place to continue the party.

    The wedding

“We wanted it to feel like a secret garden party, wondrous and intimate — full of love and energy and to give our family and friends an evening of Venice magic, like a night that can only happen once.”

Andy and Esteban wanted sustainable, mindful, simple, and effortless. Like things were supposed to be always there.

The location was significant to them because that's where they harvest their veggies every week, within walking distance to their home.

Menu: Vegetarian Thai street food. Location: a local community garden in Venice, CA
